Donate from a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)

If you have a Donor Advised Fund with Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or BNY Charitable, you can make a donation through DAF Direct.  
If another organization sponsors your DAF,  you can log in to your account on the sponsor's site.  Our EIN is 88-2416363

Donate Appreciated Stock

Donating appreciated stock is a great way to increase your support to Chaptops by avoiding capital gains taxes!  Unfortunately, Chaptops doesn't maintain a brokerage account and so can't receive stocks.  We ask instead that you set up a Donor Advised Fund, donate the stocks to your DAF,  then make a cash grant to Chaptops.

Donate with a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA

If you are 70.5 or older, you can ask your IRA's trustee to distribute funds directly to Chaptops.  The donation is tax-free and also counts toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).
